After Bloom
Colour Photograms
2025
This project started with an attempt to hold on to something brief.
I received a set of flowers whose gradual collapse made their changing forms more interesting than their short-lived freshness. I dried some of them and worked with their shapes in the darkroom, using colour printing to give their outlines a new presence. These colourful photograms focus on how form persists even as the original object fades.
