Bio
Xenia Chetrar is a Moldovan-born visual artist whose work is rooted in analog photography and slow image-making practices. Since discovering film at the age of 15, she has remained drawn to its unpredictability and deliberate pace.
Her practice is largely self-taught, shaped through years of independent work and ongoing experimentation. In 2025, her analog photography received recognition from international photography awards including PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris and Analog Sparks Awards.
Beyond her personal practice, she actively advocates for film photography and its accessibility by mentoring young and emerging photographers.
